John McAllister Realty Consulting (JMRC) represents real property owners, buyers and sellers in helping them achieve their goals and objectives. The company traces its roots back to 1888 in Abbeville County South Carolina to the community of Mount Carmel. John's great grandfather, John Andrew McAllister was a farmer, merchant and agricultural land advisor. His interest in real property was carried on by his son, Darrel Johnson McAllister and was subsequently taken over by Darrel's oldest son, John Andrew McAllister Sr. In addition to owning and operating a timber, cattle, and mercantile business, John Sr. founded and operated the local telephone company while continuing the family business of agricultural land sales and consulting. John Jr. preserved the family legacy of real estate consulting when he relocated to Columbia SC in 1999 and continued his real estate practice with Colliers-Keenan. He reformed his company in 2001 to become a client-focused real estate consulting firm.
