McAllister speaks at Georgia
Land Broker Meeting

Pine Mountain , GA - John A. McAllister, Jr., Accredited Land Consultant, and Vice President of The REALTORS® Land Institute attended the summer meeting of The Georgia Chapter of The REALTORS® Land Institute at Calloway Gardens and updated the members on reform of the Endangered Species Act, Wetlands Reform, Eminent Domain and an update on the overall health and outlook for The REALTOR® Land Institute. Other speakers gave presentations on a wide range of topics; “Learn How a Swamp Can Become a Goldmine”(Wilkinson-Oconee Mitigation Bank) by Acer Environmental, “Successful Selling” a presentation on land auctions by Hudson and Marshall Auctioneers, and “State Legislation Impacting Your Real Estate Business” by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. While at the conference the participants were entertained by The Florida State Circus, toured The Day Butterfly Center and the grounds of the 14,000 acre gardens in the Appalachian foothills.

McAllister serves as Broker in Charge of John McAllister Realty Consulting. He has over 28 years experience in the real estate profession, and is licensed to practice real estate in South Carolina , North Carolina , Georgia and Mississippi . His practice is focused on five specialized areas: (1) plantations and timberland, (2) undeveloped tracts of land, (3) transitional and development land, (4) subdivision and wholesaling of lots and (5) site selection and assemblage of land parcels. Through strategic alliances with business partners with offices in Chicago , Denver and New York , Mr. McAllister has access to resources to consult on over 72 classes of real property. He is a graduate of The Citadel. He is also a graduate of the Executive Program of Professional Management Education at the Kenan-Flager School of Business, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a graduate of the program for Senior Managers in Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge , Massachusetts .
